Ivan was born in Moscow, in the family of Sergey Kolesnikov and Maria Velikanova. The father is a famous actor and TV host. Mom - a creative person, a freelance artist.　　Since his father served in the theater, Ivan, like many children of theater, spent a lot of time behind the scenes. He really liked being there. Later, he began to appear on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater in the productions of “New American”, “Boris Godunov”, etc.　　He graduated from the Higher Theater School named after MS.
