Sheila Vand was born in Los Angeles, grew up in Palo Alto, and is a 2nd generation Iranian-American of Persian descent.　　Her role as Hadia in the Broadway play Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, was played alongside Robin Williams' performance as Tiger.
